Contest Rules & Conditions

Dates:

  • September 1, 2021 – September 30, 2021
  • Transparent Language Online for Libraries individual users can enter the contest at any point during that date range.

 

Prizes:

The prize for the One Week Streak Challenge will be awarded to three individual patron users and their subscribing libraries. All patron users of participating libraries are eligible to be entered into the raffle.

  • Prize For Individual Users – Chance to win one of three US$100 Amazon gift cards. The gift card will be delivered in the currency of the country of each winner. The value will be based on US$100 using the conversion rate listed on http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ on October 1, 2021.
  • Prize For Libraries – Chance to win one of three US$100 Amazon gift cards. The gift card will be delivered in the currency of the country of the library. The value will be based on US$100 using the conversion rate listed on http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ on October 1, 2021.

 

Qualifying Activity:

Transparent Language Online for Libraries allows individual patron users to set a daily learning goal in the “Goals” panel on the learning dashboard. The idea of the contest is to have users set a daily learning goal of 5 minutes or more and meet that goal for at least seven consecutive days. When a user achieves a 7-day learning streak, they can share it with us on Twitter or Instagram to enter the contest.

Qualifying Activity For Customers:

      • An Instagram post that includes all of the following:
        • An image of the individual learner’s 7+-day learning streak in Transparent Language Online for Libraries with a daily goal of 5 minutes or more
        • A tag of @transparentlanguage
        • The name of the library through which they are learning
        • The hashtag #oneweekstreakchallenge
          Example posts:
                  Instagram Sample - Desktop v2 Instagram Sample - Mobile v2
      • A Twitter post that includes all of the following:
        • An image of the customer’s 7+-day learning streak in Transparent Language Online for Libraries with a daily goal of 5 minutes or more
        • A tag of @TLILanguages
        • The name of the library through which they are learning
        • The hashtag #oneweekstreakchallenge

Qualifying Activity for Libraries:

      • An individual patron user of the library completes a qualifying activity, thereby entering their library in the raffle.

 

Rules:

  • Prize: Three individual qualifying patron users will be selected at random to receive a US$100 Amazon gift card. Each winning user’s subscribing libraries will also receive a US$100 Amazon gift card. Multiple individual patron users from the same library can win, resulting in a single library receiving multiple prizes. Raffle is limited to all qualifying participants in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia.
  • Qualification: To qualify, a patron must be a registered user in a library with a valid Transparent Language Online subscription. Each qualifying social media share of a 7-day learning streak will count as one entry into the One Week Streak challenge (maximum of one submission per social media network per user). See “Qualifying Activity” section to determine what constitutes a qualifying social media share.
  • Selection of Winner: The winning individual users and their subscribing libraries will be selected at random and will be notified on social media within 14 days of the contest end date. If a winner cannot be contacted within 14 days, it may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
  • Eligibility: Contest is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. Employees and family members of Transparent Language, Inc. are not eligible to participate.
  • Limitations of Liability:  Transparent Language, Inc. is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete contest entries due to system errors or failures or otherwise. Contest organizers may prohibit an entrant from participating in the contest if, in their sole discretion, they determine that the entrant is using deceptive or unfair playing practices.
